Milan's Story
Milan was born into the noble Rajčány family. His birth was recorded in January 1971 as Milan Rajčány) to Father; Milan Rajčány (senior) and mother Marta Rajčányová. Born in the self-governing municipality town of Modra, Slovakia (formerly known as Czechoslovakia). Modra is a historic settlement that received its town privileges in 1361 and became a free royal town (aka Sovereign King's Town/Slobodné kráľovské Mesto) in 1607 at the time in the Kingdom of Hungary, now once again, part of Slovakia.
Brief Noble Family History
The 'Raj' Slavic (specifically Slovak) clan lived in the Slovakian Principality of Nitra part of the Kingdom of Great Moravia. The Rajcsányi de Rajcsany (Hungarian/Magyar spelling) or Rajčány (slovakian spelling) ancestor family located at the Rajčany (estate land) was proclaimed noble after ancestor Kurus (1130) saved the Hungarian King from a bear attack. As recorded in history, Bethlehem Rajcsany (son of Kurus) served King Béla IV in the king's court. In a royal letter of donation, dated 1244, King Béla IV listed the land of Rajcsány in Nitra municipality belonging to Kurus of Rajcsány along with other properties in Szeptencz-Ujfalu, Iluz, Dobozd, Szedelcsen, Kecth, Beke, Berencs, Lyuke, Omur and Lipovomány. Count, Bethlehem had three sons of which Dragh of Rajcsány became the first ancestor to claim the noble, Rajcsány estate family name. The Rajčány family name was proclaimed free and noble with all Freedoms and Rights Reserved since 1244 as per the Golden Bull of 1222 (Kingdom of Hungary) The United Kingdom equivalent is the Magna Carta of 1215.
Rajcsányi de Rajcsany, Rajcsán (HU) and Rajčány (SK) families have had their own, official noble, Coat of Arms, depicting the heroic act since Medieval times. Present-day living family nobles have their own individual family and personal Coat of Arms. The historic municipality of Rajčany (see Rajcany.sk) still bears the family name. Various historical records mention Rajcsányi/Rajčány, ancestors as Counts, Barons, Bishops and Esquires to name a few. There are various other historic localities in Slovakia with ties to the Raj clan/Rajčány family.
